Let's set the record straight on THC-A. It's just weed.

In 2018 the federal government updated the Farm Bill to define legal hemp. They decided that anything under 0.3% THC would be considered hemp. What they didn't understand is that most weed can be harvested a certain way so that it falls under that 0.3% threshold. That loophole essentially created the THC-A market and made weed federally legal. The beauty is that when THC-A is heated it converts to the god ole THC we love.

Don't overthink it. THC-A is just weed. Enjoy the loophole!!!

What is Nap Pack?
Nap Pack is a cannabis brand that focuses on the education, advocacy, and celebration of cannabis culture.

How do you do all that exactly?
We provide the proper education on the medicinal benefits of cannabis.
We help patients get access to cannabis in a safe environment.
We organize events for the consumption of cannabis without the fear of judgment and stigmatization.

That sounds good and all but do you guys be having that fire?
We have a variety of cannabis-related products for sale including branded apparel and accessory. We also have a custom mylar bag program for other brands that need help with their packaging.

But YES, we definitely keep that fire on deck.

When Nap Pack launched in December of 2022 we didn't know shit. Not even an idea of what we wanted it to be. With that said, let's look at our inaugural season (4/20 - 9/4) and grade ourselves on our overall performance.

Heat Factor: B+
We set the market on fire with our This Ain't Reggie bags which would get our name shouted out in the club.

Collaborations: C
The plan was to do like three collabs but we only pulled one off and we didn't even pull it off in full. S/O Psylo Soundz, we gone spin the block.

Community: B-
Our telegram only sits at about 85 members and honestly, maybe only 15 people are active but we did launch a recycling program for our mylars, a birthday club, and he hosted 5 consumption events.

Season One Final Grade: C+
We met a lot of great people and had a really good time. Not bad but we promise to do a whole lot better in season 2

Social equity programs in the cannabis industry are far from perfect but they at least acknowledge that the war on drugs had a disproportionately negative effect on black and brown communities in America. For these programs to make the impact they were intended for there is a greater need for training programs like BCB Mastermind that offer free executive training for cannabis business owners of color.

Nap Pack had the pleasure of being a part of the BCB CEO Mastermind Southern Cohort in Tampa Florida this August.

Funded by cannabis MSO Parallel and developed by Brandon Watt and Todd Hughes, BCB Mastermind is a six-week course that helps BIPOC cannabis founders further develop their business plans and join a network of other cannabis founders and executives.

We launched Nap Pack by participating in local vendor events where entrepreneurs from all over the state of Indiana would come and try to get their small businesses off the ground. On a few occasions, we were asked to leave events because someone was uncomfortable that we were there proudly displaying cannabis while educating our community about its medicinal benefits.

It's sad that in Indiana (home of pharmaceutical giants like Eli Lilly) you can easily get a prescription for highly addictive pills but if Nap Pack is trying to get sick people access to safer options for conditions where cannabis has been proven as a more effective alternative we get side-eyed by someone's granny.

Cannabis as medicine:

1. Non-Addictive

2. Every Few Side Effects

3. Zero Overdoses

4. Patients save money growing their own medicine

Until Indiana introduces a medical cannabis program count on Nap Pack to continue to stand on the front lines for our community.

Let's get something straight. THC shouldn't be the end-all-be-all when it comes to deciding how good or bad cannabis is. THC isn't like ABV (alcohol by volume) where the higher the percentage the more you get fucked up. Even if it was like that, have you ever asked a bartender for a drink with the highest ABV?

Cannabis is an individual experience. What works for you might not work for someone else. Every strain is a different combination of cannabinoids and terpenes. Finding the effects you like from cannabis is a journey. Take your time and enjoy it.

I'm not saying there isn't trash out there, because there is. What I'm saying is to make sure you know what you want and make sure what you are selecting can deliver that experience. This is where having knowledgeable salespeople who can make the right product recommendations comes in handy.

Every time I pull up to a dispensary in Michigan all I see is Indiana plates filling up the parking lots. This means not only is Indiana LOSING out on millions of tax dollars to neighboring states but since cannabis is still illegal we are also WASTING millions of tax dollars enforcing its criminalization.

I bring all of this up because three cannabis-related bills just got KILLED before they even got a chance to be heard by a committee. What's worse is that in Indiana, there isn't much we can do because there are no citizen-led ballot initiatives. All of the power lies within the Indiana General Assembly.

If we want to change the laws in our state we have got to get to those polls and vote in the local representation that more accurately speaks for our needs. Until then I'm asking all of you to call the Indiana Senate call center at (800) 382-9467 and let them know how unhappy you are about their decisions regarding cannabis

Welcome to Nap Pack.

We are not exactly sure what we are or what we plan on doing but we do know that Indiana's legacy cannabis market needs to step out of the shadows where we are forced to hide and stand proudly in the light.

Waiting for the state to listen to us and step up for us is a giant waste of time. We need to listen to ourselves and step up for ourselves before the culture we love so much dies at the hands of conservatives and their negative stigmatism of cannabis.

We don't have a plan (yet) but we do have a few concepts to use as our guiding light:
No one should be locked up for a plant (Free the Bros.)
Sick people should not be denied access to cost-effective plant-based medicine
No one should be vilified for the consumption of cannabis

Watch us work...
